22-Minute Hard Corps Progress

22-Minute Hard Corps Progress

Are you doing 22-Minute Hard Corps too?! My husband and I have been doing it together and holding each other accountable (even when we are soo not motivated)! I’ve even learned some new moves along the way. 🙂 Here is my 22-Minute Hard Corps diary so far. Check it out!

22-Minute Hard Corps Progress

As of now, Week 1 of ‪#‎22minhardcorps‬ is DONE!!! 💪

Believe me, no matter how long I’ve been working out and how many programs I’ve done, it is ALWAYS a struggle that first week! Just stay focused, do the best you can, and it WILL get easier!!!

Oh, and a special shout out to my husband Nick for doing ALL 6 workouts for week 1!!! I seriously think this is the first program that he’s actually stuck with and not given up after just a few days! 😂😉 Super proud of him! 😊

Need a new move that is effective AND fun?! 💪 I’m loving this move we did in ‪#‎22minhardcorps‬. It’s called a Punch Pull and this is what you do:

*start with one weight (I’m using a 10 lb dumbbell but you can use a dumbbell, household item or no weights at all!)

*twist to the opposite foot, making sure you pivot on the ball of your foot to protect your knees, and punch down with the weight

*twist back to the same side with a forceful elbow like you are hitting someone

We did sets of 8, 10, and 12 on each side, but you can do more or less depending on your weights and fitness level.

Let me know…did you try this?! 😊👍🏻

Nick will probably KILL me for posting this video (especially because he was rocking those white socks 😂), but I just HAD to because it’s SO CUTE! I got my workout in earlier today, so Kaze decided to join his dad for 22 Minute Hard Corps. Don’t you just 💜 his commentary?! 😜 Link below. **WARNING: you WILL hear a screechy little voice of a four year old 😝**

Here we are doing frog burpees! Who else feels our pain with how much we dislike them?! LoL 😝🐸

On this day, we had been procrastinating and putting off our workout until late. But, we finally got it done! Cardio 2 is in the books and between the frog burpees, water bugs, and gorilla walks, I’m pretty sure my dreams are going to include lots of different crazy animals tonight! LOL! 😂

I even did 22-Minute Hard Corps on St. Patrick’s Day (a typical day for less healthy celebrations like green beer and bar food). 😉 Like my bar?! THIS is the only BAR I visited that day! 😜🍀

Don’t get me wrong…no judgment here! If you celebrated St. Paddy’s Day with a green beer, that’s totally cool! I love myself some green beer too! 😉🍺  And, I totally believe in the “work hard, play hard” philosophy (within moderation of course! 😝).

I chose to hit a different kind of BAR though (aka squat thrusts via 22 Minute Hard Corps) because I’ve got some big goals for myself.  May is going to come quick and that means trips to South Beach courtesy of my awesome coach Jenelle Summers and a trip to Myrtle Beach with my team of coaches. So, I decided to skip the green beer! 😊🍀

Here we are trying to capture how we really feel about the Sprint Burpee Push-ups at the end of one of the workouts and our puppy, Mavy, just had to get in on the action! 😝

We were laid out after that one!!! I knew Nick and I would definitely be sore the next day, but it felt awesome! 😉💪

22-Minute Hard Corps Progress

Here we are on a day when we so weren’t feeling like working out! Aka: MOTIVATION NEEDED!!! 😝

I definitely don’t always feel like working out! Here, I had a million excuses as to why I don’t want to workout – I’m tired, I already worked out this morning, I had a ton of other stuff I needed to get done…yada, yada, yada! But, I committed to this program with my husband and we needed to help each other stay accountable!

So, I’m threw all of my excuses out the window, and I’m headed downstairs to push play! Besides, it’s only 22 minutes, right?! 👊

So far, so good! I’m so happy that we are still working through the program together, and I can’t wait to see how far we come. Stay tuned! 🙂

If you feel like you could use some motivation, I HIGHLY recommend getting into a fitness group of like-minded people. I KNOW that being apart of a group motivates me to keep making healthy choices because I feel the support of others around me who are also striving for better. And it just feels so good to know that you are not alone in your struggles!

If it sounds like something you’d like, never hesitate to reach out to me. We can relate to each other! I run a few different groups each month, and I could easily find something that would work for your fitness level or goals. 🙂 For more information, fill out the application below or email me at ToCoachCory@gmail.com.
